Sister Sister

My family has sold their house and will be moving this summer although the move does not exactly involve me any more it kind of does as two of my sisters have asked me to do their bedroom and I could not be more excited!
The two bedrooms are going to be very different we have started to develop colour schemes, unique ideas and creating inspiration boards.

The first bedroom is all about the black and white contrast, we are going to make it dramatic by using different patterns and textures. We are hoping to do a  DIY project on the chandelier by spray painting it a bold eye popping colour (leaning towards turquoise)
Inspirations:
The second bedroom has a colour scheme of blush pink and gold. This room is going to exude femininity with antiqued gold accents and ornate furniture. We are painting the bedroom Touch of Pink by Benjamin Moore
So far we have purchased a console table that was consigned Around the Block for $145 this will be used as a vanity. We paired a ghost chair from Kitchen Stuff Plus for $99 to add an airy feel to the solid ornate vanity.
I'll keep you updated....

Add a Touch of Spring

Since the weather is so unpredictable add some colour into your home to brighten it up. I use tea cups and old mason jars as vases they are small so you really only need one flower per arrangement - saving you lots of money!

Chandeliers add a dramatic effect to any room however in a lot of condos and older homes electrical outlets are not installed in the ceilings. Seequin an online Etsy store is making cardboard chandeliers which add an eclectic element in your home but you will still need a lamp ;)
Cardboard Chandelier - Seequin $30 - 50

Wedding Dresses & Decor

After you get married you have a gorgeous dress sitting in your closet or being preserved in a box. This does not make sense to me! Dresses are to expensive to only be seen for 5 hours!

Wedding dresses are so beautiful and can show so much of who you are. They really have the ability to speak for themselves. There are some options to keep your wedding dress close to you at all times.

Framing: I love the idea of framing your wedding dress and having it displayed in your closet/bedroom - this is my plan
