Bar Cart Find
While looking for bar cart accessories for a client I stumbled upon an amazing find. A lot of people collect their old wine corks and display them either in canisters or art. I just love this holder from Etsy a very classy and elegant way to display your ever growing collection..

Nan Lawson - Quirky and Cute Illustrations
Nan Lawson is an Illustrator based in Los
Angeles. She has a great shop on Etsy,
as well as a shop-in-shop on Society6,
an online print shop brought to you by Urban Outfitters. She is known for her
pop culture portraits, as well as her freelance gigs illustrating for magazines
and designing logos. Inspired by hipsters, cult television shows, and all
things-quirky, Lawson created a signature style that has gained a huge
following among 20-somethings decorating on a budget, who aren’t willing to
compromise personality in their design.
My favourite
Nan Lawson feature, however, is her custom shop. Nan will customize illustrations
and prints using your own images to create adorable and incredibly personal
gifts.
I’m a big fan. Take a look at her work and let me know what you think!

One of your favourite artists may be in your cellphone
Many stores sell paintings that are priced as low as $20 - they are great finds as long as they don't give off the staged look
One of my favourite paintings was done by my friend Jill - this painting was lying on her floor for months - now it is framed over my vanity
Having a one of a kind piece is so special - it looks unique and makes a room feel a little more personal
This is a very inexpensive way to have beautiful art on your walls and to share your friends talents
So, if you are lucky enough to have an artist as a friend ask if they will make you something - let them know what room you want it for so they can match your colours and theme.
